The ultimate micro-needling by mesoestetic®

This is the ultimate synergy between technique and active solutions that can be combined with other aesthetic and cosmetic techniques to deliver maximum results. This is a very safe treatment for all skin types.

What is m.pen pro?

m.pen pro is the new device developed to deliver spectacular results safely and effectively

by mesoestetic®. A rechargeable cordless micro-needling pen designed to optimise the effectiveness of active principles in the formulation of micro-channels produced by the microneedles, easily allowing absorption of the product into deeper layers of the skin.

What is Micro-Needling?

Micro-needling is a minimally invasive technique that creates thousands of epidermal micro-channels allowing active ingredients to pass through the skin. The micro-punctures activate the release of growth factors and stimulate the wound healing process to produce collagen.

There are three stages of ‘action’ for the skin.

Stage 1 is the creation of the thousands of micro-channels using the m.pen device.

Stage 2 is where topical, sterile solutions are applied on the skin. The micro-channels allow their penetration.

Stage 3 is the ingredients reaching the lower layers of skin to help maximise the effects of the initial needling.

What sterile serums are used?

Hollie’s Skincare uses mesoestetic’s solutions. These are 100% sterile and contain active, pharmaceutical grade cocktails to treat different skin concerns. You will have a consultation with Hollie’s Skincare first and your needs will determine which cocktail will be used. For the face and hair, tailored serums inc Depigmentation, Photo-ageing, Facial Tightening and Hair Loss. For the body, tailored cocktails inc Draining, Lipolytic, Body Firming and Vitality Restoration for Hands.

What are the features to m.pen pro?

As it is a mechanical pen, being automatic, constant and perpendicular to the skin means it contributes to the skin’s recovery time. There are also 5 speeds and 6 depths that your practitioner at Hollie’s Skincare can choose from. The options to increase or reduce the speed means delicate areas of skin can be handled with more care and specific areas of concern can be treated with a little more intensity i.e. acne scarring and deep wrinkles on denser skin. The choice of depths means the treatment can be adapted to the finer or denser areas of skin i.e. the skin on the cheeks contains denser epidermal skin layers than the forehead so the depth of needle will be increased or dropped down on different areas to be treated, again offering a complete personalised and adaptable treatment.

Who is m.pen pro for?

  • Treating lines and wrinkle appearance
  • Acne scarring, trauma, surgical scars and marks
  • Pigmentation disorders and Cosmelan maintenance
  • Sagging skin concerns
  • Double chin
  • Stretch marks

Is micro-needling safe?

Micro-needling is one of the safest aesthetic skin treatments. The skin has incredible healing abilities and within 48 hours skin is practically back to normal. Your practitioner at Hollie’s Skincare will fully discuss all expected side effects during your initial consultation so you know what to expect. As needling pierces the skin, blood spotting is to be expected but your practitioner is highly trained and will ensure a completely sterile environment inc ensuring your skin is prepped using antimicrobial skin cleansers. The headpieces - containing the 12 micro-needles - are disposable at the end of every treatment so no cross-contamination takes place.

How many sessions are recommended?

Everyone skin responds differently so an initial programme will be discussed with Hollie’s Skincare during your consultation. Generally when treating the skin for ageing and refinement solutions, 3-6 treatments are recommended 2-4 weeks apart.

For acne scarring and thickened, photoaged, 6-12 treatments may be recommended 2-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments can then be done monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly, skin concern dependent.

Is there any specific homecare / aftercare that should be followed?

Is there any specific homecare will be part of the discussion during your initial consultation at Hollie’s Skincare. Recommendations will be given that will maximise results. If your current homecare is impairing your skin's barrier function, treatment may not be offered by Hollie’s Skincare without corrective homecare / aftercare for needling courses and treatments. Skin-prep home-care may be recommended that will then extend to aftercare.

Using the right products will increase results, reduce irritation, aid healing and chances of having any adverse reactions.
